The Dumerso washing station - where farmers carry their ripe bags of coffee fruit to be dried - is located by the town of Yirgacheffe in southern Ethiopia. Typically, individual farmers will bring just a couple of bags of fruit, representing their years harvest, to the washing station. The coffee is dried in the sun on long raised beds, turned frequently, until all the fruity goodness is absorbed into the coffee seed (or bean). This is a wonderfully aromatic natural processed coffee with dominant raspberry fruit notes and a decently clean finish.
